Civil engineering / drainage documentation
Support development and infrastructure projects with coordinated stormwater drainage layouts, network plans, hydraulic design documentation and construction drawing packages. Our drafting scope follows the appointed engineer’s design criteria and project-specific drainage requirements.
Conceptual drainage diagram only. Final pipe sizing, elevations and discharge permissions must follow approved engineering documents.
Scope of work
We prepare drainage documentation for engineers, development consultants and construction teams. Network sizing, flood assessments and drainage approvals depend on location-specific criteria, validated assumptions and the responsible engineer’s review.
Plans showing collection routes, surface water inlets, manholes, pipe corridors and connections to approved site outfalls.
Support for catchment definition, rainfall/runoff inputs, discharge allowances and hydraulic design documentation under project-defined criteria.
Plan-and-profile drawings with pipe diameters, inverts, gradients, cover levels, manhole references and crossing coordination.
Drawing support for detention or retention features, underground storage, flow-control arrangements and overflow provisions.
Layouts for swales, permeable pavement zones, infiltration elements and other SuDS/LID components where suitable design inputs exist.
Separate foul-water network drawings, interface checking and utility conflict coordination where included in the project scope.
Typical output package
Outputs are adjusted to the agreed design phase, applicable authority standards and drawing templates.
Coordinated workflow
Maintain consistency between civil grading, network levels, hydraulic assumptions and drawing revisions.
Confirm topography, existing networks, catchments, outfalls and applicable design criteria.
Draft pipe routes, structures, preliminary levels and attenuation arrangements from the design inputs.
Compare network profiles with grading, utilities and structural interfaces; identify unresolved issues.
Produce the agreed schedules and drawings for engineer review and incorporate authorized revisions.
Design responsibility
Flood risk assessments, discharge limits, pipe and storage capacities, infiltration suitability and environmental compliance require project-specific engineering judgement and applicable authority review.
Drafting services do not replace engineering certification, statutory consent or site investigations. Where hydraulic analysis or calculations are part of the scope, assumptions and final designs must be reviewed by the appointed competent professional.
Frequently asked questions
Current topographic survey, site boundaries, ground levels, proposed development layout, drainage records, outfall information and jurisdictional criteria are typical inputs. Rainfall data and geotechnical information may also be required.
Yes, subject to the contracted scope. Stormwater and foul-water systems are documented separately with their respective flow assumptions, network layouts, levels and approval requirements.
Calculation and hydraulic modelling support can be scoped where sufficient data and competent engineering oversight are available. Models and assumptions require technical review by the designated engineer.
Not automatically. Planning submissions, statutory approvals, construction acceptance and professional certification are responsibilities of the authorized design team and relevant local authority.
