Precast concrete / Floor & roof systems
Coordinate precast hollow-core plank layouts, fabrication information and erection documentation around approved structural designs. We support precast producers, structural consultants and construction teams with clear plans, bearing details, opening coordination and revision-controlled drawing packages.
Conceptual graphic only; not a fabrication drawing or engineering approval.
Detailing capabilities
Our documentation scopes are coordinated with the project engineer, precast producer and applicable supplier standards. Each deliverable is based on the latest approved drawings and project-specific instructions.
Floor and roof plank marking plans showing unit identification, orientation, span direction, grid references and setting-out dimensions.
Plank piece drawings showing approved unit geometry, length, end conditions, recesses and relevant production annotations.
Documentation of approved support interfaces, bearing lengths, connection plates, ties and edge restraint details for coordination.
Plans identifying openings, block-outs, penetrations, edges and MEP interfaces, with unresolved structural impacts escalated for review.
Drawings and schedules for specified reinforcement, topping interfaces, grout details and cast-in components where applicable.
Unit marking plans, plank schedules, setting-out notes, delivery identification and revision-aware erection documentation.
Typical project outputs
We structure files around the agreed issue list and supplier requirements, distinguishing drawing preparation from the engineering checks and releases that must be performed separately.
Drawing workflow
Each phase is structured to surface missing information before the package reaches a precast production or installation milestone.
Confirm slab zones, grids, supports, plank product requirements and identified openings or conflicts.
Prepare plank marking layouts, individual piece details, schedules and interface documentation.
Track engineering, plant, architectural and MEP comments; resolve information gaps through defined approvals.
Deliver the requested drawings, schedules and issue register following the project’s agreed release process.
Technical responsibility
Plank capacity, prestressing, end bearing, camber, openings, fire performance, diaphragm action, handling and temporary stability all depend on project-specific engineering decisions.
Our drawings communicate approved information and flag conflicts. Engineering analysis, strand design, changes to manufactured units, lifting plans, field cutting and local code compliance require authorization by the engineer of record, the precast supplier and other designated responsible parties. Drafted details are not automatically released for fabrication or site use.
Frequently asked questions
Depending on the agreed scope, documents can include plank layout plans, unit mark drawings, opening and recess details, bearing and connection details, erection plans and schedules.
Yes. Openings and penetrations can be coordinated from approved architectural and MEP information, but cutting locations, strand interference and the resulting structural adequacy require the responsible designer and precast supplier’s approval.
Current architectural and structural plans, grid and level information, approved plank sizes and span direction, bearing specifications, opening schedules, precast supplier requirements and relevant design notes.
Not automatically. Strand patterns, load capacity, camber, lifting, bearing adequacy and temporary stability must be verified by qualified project engineers and the responsible precast supplier under a separately agreed engineering scope.
